Hello dear Andrea, what a beautiful specimen you have shared. And how beautiful face was it that this one so smoothy sliding into the opening of the rock. Hereby again greetings to you and your family and yes had read that it is very warm now. We also had very high temperatures here in Holland last week and it was not really nice to be outside. The day before yesterday we had many rain showers and now it has cooled down a bit again fortunately. L.g, Tine
Hello dear Tine, it is still very hot here but I do not complain since my weak point is to face winter! ^ ^ This is the very first Snake that I was able to film in Italy, actually I did not see any at all when I lived there. I am glad that You liked it and I felt so mysterious that it resembles so much the Japanese tiger keelback. Have a great end of summer dear Tine, warm hugs, Andrea.
👍 #6 Hello again Andrea, well done for capturing this wonderful scene. I still have not seen any Snakes for over 20 years here in the UK. We only get Grass Snakes and Adders. The problem being that they share habitat with hundreds of released Pheasants for the horrible shooting fraternity. And somebody was finding dead Snakes on their land with holes in them and nobody could figure out what had caused the holes... well it turned out to be the Pheasants killing and leaving them... I have no idea why, but it may explain why I never see any? It's just another ;side effect' from those that just love to shoot and kill live 'targets'. Thank you as always, my dear friend. *Hugs to you and your family* 👍◕‿◕
Thank You dear Jane for appreciating the very first Snake I was able to film in Italy. Last year I saw four during the three-week stay, and this is the only one I could film. Pheasants kill Snakes in Japan too, they are quite good at it and they do that to prevent Snakes from finding the nest that, being on the ground, is easier to attack than that of other Birds. Of course, if Pheasants are unnaturally numerous, Snakes could even be driven to local extinction, and we know very well that we humans care about the biotope only behind our economic interests... Have a wonderful weekend dear Jane!

毒持ってそうだけど、無毒なんですね❣
そうです、完全に無防備です!^ヮ^ いつもありがとうございます!
Great close capture of this handsome snake. Lovely markings and very cool watching it quickly disappear. Best regards, Cathy
Thank You very much dear Cathy for appreciating this little young Snake! Happy end of summer!
眼が可愛い😄
そうでしょう!!僕も愛くるしいと思いました。これは幼蛇だったので、ヤマカガシの幼蛇でもかわいいですけどね~^ヮ^
